[ john hasn’t really kept up with dave as well as he should have. he just remembers the time he asked him about the engagement ring and hopes that went well. there’s a lot of hoping for things to go well, actually. john feels like dave seems to go through a lot of trouble in rapid succession and he feels awful whenever he can’t be around to help him with that. ;_; but he’s planning to make up for all the chances he missed! slowly, anyway.

sometimes he wonders if he’s overstepping boundaries though. he’s always felt like there’s a line he’s tiptoeing around whenever he jokes around with dave, but yeah. that’s probably just his imagination. ]
